Lynn Coleman is a senior lecturer at Cape Peninsula University of Technology where she has a teaching and academic staff development role. She recently completed her PhD at the Open University in the United Kingdom. Her research explored the relationships between literacy practices and the curriculum environment in visual communication and media courses. Aspects of Lynn’s PhD research have been incorporated into edited volumes addressing the theme of literacies in the university context. She has also published her work on integrating curriculum theorisation with the academic literacies perspective in the journal Higher Education Research and Development.
